Where to find it and what to press

Haunted Ground is a free daily fight against Dusknoir. Open it from the Games Corner, read the short intro and press Start the fight!. There is no battle screen to play. The game picks the result for you and shows it in a message.

What you can win

Each fight rolls one of eight rewards with the same chance, so every outcome comes up about one time in eight. The flavour sentence in front of the prize changes at random and does not affect what you get.

RewardWhat it is
Coins (two of the eight)One roll pays 25 to 55 coins and the other 20 to 40 coins.
Cash (two of the eight)One roll pays $1,000 to $84,000 and the other $1,000 to $59,000.
An item (three of the eight)One item picked at random from a fixed list of balls and evolution items. It includes the Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball and even the Master Ball, the elemental stones (Thunderstone, Fire Stone, Water Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Sun Stone and more), trade-evolution items such as Metal Coat and King’s Rock, and some shards.
A Pokémon (one of the eight)A random Pokémon from the game's swap pool. It goes to the first free slot on your team, or to your Box if your team of six is full.

Premium members also get 200 extra coins every time they fight.

Once a day, and what resets it

You get one fight per day per account. If you try again before the daily reset, the game says you were tired from earlier battling and to come back tomorrow, and nothing is spent or won.

The Haunted Ground streak

Haunted Ground keeps its own streak, separate from the daily login streak. It goes up by one each calendar day you fight.

  • Fight on every 5th streak day and you get a bonus of 30 to 50 coins on top of the prize.
  • Fight on every 30th streak day and the bonus is 500 coins.
  • Miss exactly one day and the streak is cut to half its size (never above 45). Miss two days or more and it starts again from 1.
  • The bonus only pays on a day the streak went up by one. A day on which the streak was halved or reset pays no bonus, even if the number lands on a 5th or 30th.

Worked example: you have fought nine days in a row, so the streak is 9. Fighting today makes it 10 and pays the 30 to 50 coin bonus. Skip tomorrow and fight again the day after, and the streak is cut to half of 10, which is 5, with no bonus that day. If you wait one more day before coming back, it starts again from 1.

If something goes wrong

MessageWhat it means
"You lost as you were tired of earlier battling. Come back tomorrow."You already fought today. Try again after the daily reset.
The prize was a Pokémon and you cannot see itCheck your team first, then your Box. It lands on your team if a slot was free and in the Box if your team was full (new trainers still in the opening Trainer Journey get it in the Box).

Haunted Ground is one item on the daily checklist.
