Pokemon Dusk RebornWiki New here? How to play

Crafting and egg incubation

A craft can fail, and a failed craft still spends every ingredient. Check what you have before you press the button.

What you need

One craft costs 100 coins, 1 Fossil, 5 Ruby, 5 Sapphire and 5 Topaz. That is four kinds of material plus coins. The materials come from Duskmine, and Fossils also drop from the Dark Trainer. If anything is short you get the message that you do not have enough materials, and nothing is spent.

The Crafting Area panel stating the recipe of 1 Fossil, 5 Ruby, 5 Sapphire and 5 Topaz plus 100 coins, with the Craft Pokemon Egg button.
The Crafting Area
  1. The Craft Pokemon Egg button. Pressing it spends the whole recipe before the result is rolled.
The recipe text is on the page itself, above the button.

What can happen when you craft

Everything is taken from you first, and then the game rolls a number from 0 to 100. Out of those 101 numbers:

ResultRoughlyWhat you get
Ancient Egg75%An Ancient Egg in your inventory.
Mega Egg5%A Mega Egg, the rare result.
Failure20%Nothing. The coins, Fossil, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz are all gone. The game says "Ohh Snap! Unfortunately the crafting failed."

These are chances, not a schedule. Three failures in a row is unlucky, not a bug, and a success does not make the next craft safer. If you are trying for a Mega Egg, keep enough materials for several attempts before you start.

Incubating the egg

  1. Open Crafting & Incubation. Your incubators are listed in the Egg Incubator section.
  2. Choose the egg in an empty incubator's selector. The egg goes in at once and starts its timer.
  3. The page shows Time Left to Hatch. When it reaches zero, use the hatch button on that egg.
  4. The egg turns into a Pokémon at level 5, with a random gender, and appears in your Box.
The Egg Incubator section of Crafting and Incubation with two incubators, each with a Select Egg to put in Incubator menu, and a third slot offering to buy an incubator for 7,500 coins.
Your incubators
  1. The menu that puts an egg into this incubator.
  2. The third incubator costs 7,500 coins. The second costs 3,500.
This test account owns two incubators.

How long an egg takes

The wait is random, between about 1.7 and 3.3 days. It is not a flat three days, and it starts when you put the egg in, not when you craft it.

Incubator slots

You can only incubate as many eggs as you have incubators, and a free slot does not help if every incubator is busy ("Your all incubator(s) are currently in use"). The first incubator is free, the second costs 3,500 coins and the third 7,500 coins. Three is the maximum.

Which Pokémon can hatch

The Pokémon is chosen when the egg goes into an incubator, from the pool for that kind of egg. Ancient Eggs and Mega Eggs have different pools. See the egg items.
