Pokemon Dusk RebornWiki New here? How to play

Safari Zone and the MissingNo secret

Most of the Safari Zone is a preserve where you meet wild Pokémon. The old building hides a secret, and this page keeps it behind a spoiler box.

Last checked: 5 November 2026. Based on the official guide (October 2026); the Missingno. rules were checked against the game code on 5 November 2026. Maintained by the Pokémon Dusk Reborn team. Spotted a mistake? Tell us in #bugs-and-errors on Discord.

The ordinary Safari Zone

You do not need an item to enter the Safari Zone or its first room. Walk to the building entrance on the map and step through the door. Everything outside the hidden area works like any other map.

Spoiler ahead. The next box explains the secret room, the boss and the reward. Open it only if you want the answer.

The route

  1. Walk into the Safari Zone building and through the first room.
  2. Find the sealed north door. It only opens while your trainer's current town is Fuchsia City. The town is part of your trainer info. If it is something else, the door tells you why it will not open instead of failing silently.
  3. Step through to reach the unstable glitch area. Discovery checks there lead to Missingno. instead of the normal Safari Zone Pokémon.
  4. Defeat Missingno. It cannot be caught, and the battle stops the throw before a ball is used. Its data disintegrates and leaves an Odd Key.

Decide before you win: what the Odd Key unlocks

The key is consumed when used, so choose where it matters most:

  • enter the hidden Unown Tower from the Battle Towers page, or
  • open a Therian Chest from your Inventory.

One key will not open both. You can find another key later by repeating the fight.
