Hitdown: the first three to hit win

Hitdown is a race, not a skill game. Three players per round win coins and cash, and every press costs a coin whether you win or not.

How a round works

Open Hitdown from the Games Corner and press Hit!. The first three players to press in a round win. A round lasts 3 hours, and the page shows the time left in minutes and seconds, so a fresh round reads close to 180 minutes. When the timer runs out the winners are cleared and a new round starts.

  2. The time left until the next round.
  3. Hit!: your one try for the round.
  4. Every press costs 1 coin.

Prizes

PlaceCoinsCash
1st1,000$10,000,000
2nd150$5,000,000
3rd75$2,500,000

Your place is decided by who pressed first, nothing else. Both the coins and the cash are paid straight away.

What a press costs

Every press costs 1 coin, win or lose. So the first place winner is up 999 coins plus the cash, and a player who presses after the round is full is down one coin and gets nothing.

One real try per round

The first time you press in a round, the game marks your account as having had its turn. After that:

  • Pressing again says "You've already had a hit this round" and takes another coin.
  • If you press with no coins, the game says you don't have enough coins to take part, and it still uses up your turn for that round.
  • If three people have already won, you get "Three people have already won in this round", you lose a coin and your turn is used.

If another player on the same connection as you already hit in this round, the game also refuses with "Don't be greedy! You've already had a hit this round."

Worked example: you open Hitdown and the winners list is empty. You have 5,000 coins. You press Hit and the game pays 1,000 coins and $10,000,000, so you end on 5,999 coins. If you press it again by mistake, you pay another coin, see the "already had a hit" message and end on 5,998.

Making it count

  • Check the winners list before you press. If all three places are already filled, a press can only cost you a coin.
  • Keep at least one coin in your balance. An empty wallet burns your turn.
  • Press once per round and stop. There is nothing to gain from pressing repeatedly.

Hitdown is a quick extra on top of the daily coin routine. All the coin prizes in the game are listed in currencies.
