Pokemon Trading and Auction House

Trading is one of the best ways to grow a Pokemon collection, but it is worth slowing down for the final confirmation. Check every Pokemon, item and amount before you accept.

Direct Pokemon trades

Use Trade Pokemon when you know which Trainer you want to trade with. Pokemon must be in the Box before they can be offered. A trade can include Pokemon, items and currency, and a held item stays with the Pokemon, so review both sides carefully.

Before you confirm

• Check the Pokemon name, level and gender.
• Check any held item.
• Check every coin, cash and item amount.
• Make sure the other Trainer is the person you meant to trade.
• Do not rely on promises outside the trade screen.

Using the Auction House

The Auction House is for public timed Pokemon listings. You can search current auctions, bid with coins or list a boxed Pokemon of your own. Coins from your leading bid stay committed until another Trainer outbids you or the auction ends.

When you list a Pokemon, it leaves your Box while the auction is active. If nobody bids, it returns when the listing settles. If it sells, the winner gets the Pokemon and the seller receives the winning coins after the fee shown on the auction page.

Which should you use?

Use a direct trade for an agreed exchange. Use an auction when you want other Trainers to compete over a Pokemon. Wonder Trade is the surprise option when you are happy to receive a random return.
