Colored and Shiny Pokemon Guide

One of the fun parts of playing a Pokemon MMORPG like Dusk Reborn is how many ways there are to make your collection stand out. Beating a trainer isn't the only way to add some color to it. On top of the Shiny Pokemon you may know from the main series, Dusk Reborn has eight more purely cosmetic variants. Here's what they are and how to actually get one.

Shiny Pokemon

Shiny is the only variant with a real wild-encounter chance: roughly 1 in 200 on any wild encounter. You can also work toward one directly:

• Sabrina's Shiny Search: pay to take on a species-specific task, then hand in 20 of that species at level 6 or higher for a guaranteed Shiny of it.
• A Shiny Treasure Box guarantees a Shiny of a random Pokemon.

The eight Colored variants

Shadow, Demon, Haunted, Golden, Frost, Glitter, Eternal and Baby are a separate set of palette-swaps, all pulled from the same Colored Treasure Box rather than the wild. Every variant has identical stats, types, abilities and movepool to the normal Pokemon. It's a different color, not a different Pokemon. Rough odds inside a Colored Box: Shadow, Demon and Haunted around 15% each, Golden, Frost and Glitter around 12% each, Eternal around 11%, and Baby around 8-9%.





Getting Treasure Boxes

Both Shiny and Colored boxes come from the same ongoing sources, not a one-time event:

• Leveling up: a Shiny Box every 15 levels, a Colored Box every 50 levels.
• The daily login reward has a chance to include one.
• The referral ticket shop trades tickets for boxes.

During Halloween, the Witch Shop also sells Colored Treasure Boxes for event candy, but that's an extra seasonal source, not the only way to get one. Haunted and Glitter Pokemon come from the same year-round box pool as the rest, not just from the event.
