So we asked ourselves, “What if logging in felt like the start of an adventure, not just a recap of your profile?”

That’s when the idea hit: the more you play, the more you win. Coins, cash, shiny treasure boxes, even the amazing colored treasure boxes - all dropping into your lap simply because you’re out there battling, catching, and exploring.

But then we took a harder look. Somewhere along the way, the ability to just buy EXP boosts and treasure boxes had crept in, tilting the balance toward “pay-to-win.” That’s never been what Pokemon Dusk Reborn is about. This game was built by a Pokémon fan, for Pokémon fans, to relive the pure joy of nostalgia not your receipt history.

So here’s the big change: EXP boosts and colored treasure boxes are gone from the shop. Forever. No “maybe later.” No “limited-time return.” Just gone. In their place? A brand-new shiny treasure box that you can only get one way: by playing the game.

And the catch? There isn’t one. Which means, technically, there’s one catch total.
